Butter Pecan Fudge image

My sister shared this recipe with me & it's been a favorite Christmas recipe since. I believe she found it from Taste of Home Magazine.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup(s) butter
1/2 cup(s) sugar
1/2 cup(s) packed brown sugat
1/2 cup(s) heavy whipping cream
1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
2 cup(s) confectioners' sugar
1 cup(s) pecan pieces * toasted*

Steps:

  • In heavy saucepan, combine the butter, sugars, cream & salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, let boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, then add confectioners sugar & stir til smooth. Fold in pecans
  • Spread into a buttered 8" square dish. Cool to room temperature. Cut into 1" squares. Store in refrigerator.
