Burger Skillet image

Use convenient ready-made burger patties and a jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce to make a Burger Skillet! This weeknight dinner option is sure to please. Try a Burger Skillet with a side of veggies or a salad.

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 frozen hamburger patties (4 oz. each)
2 cups red, yellow or green pepper strips
1 jar (24 oz.) CLASSICO Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 cups instant white rice, uncooked
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese

Steps:

  • Cook hamburger patties in large nonstick skillet on medium heat 10 min. Turn hamburger patties; add peppers. Cook until hamburger patties are cooked through and peppers are crisp-tender, stirring peppers occasionally.
  • Add pasta sauce, water and chili powder. Bring to boil.
  • Stir in rice; cover. Reduce heat to low. Simmer 5 min. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Let stand 5 min. before serving.
