Easy brunch casserole

Number Of Ingredients 9

6 slice white bread, no crust
1 lb bulk sausage
1/2 pkg shredded hash brown potatoes
2 c shredded cheddar jack cheese
2 c half and half
6 eggs
1 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp salt
dash(es) pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2. Partially cook sausage in a skillet, remove and set aside.
  • 3. Put potatoes in the same skillet and cook.
  • 4. Butter a 9x13 pan and line with bread, spread sausage over bread, layer with potatoes, cover with shredded cheese.
  • 5. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, half & half, salt, pepper and dry mustard. Pour in pan over bread/sausage/potatoe mixture.
  • 6. Bake for 45-60 minutes until eggs are done. Check center of casserole to make sure eggs are not runny.
