BRAISED BABY BACK RIBS image

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 slabs pork baby back ribs, cut apart
1/4 c McCormicks Grill Mates pork rub
2 T vegetable oil
2 envelopes Lipton Onion Soup Mix
60 ounces Dr Pepper
18 oz Bulls Eye barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Shake ribs with pork rub. Let sit 30 minutes. In large skillet with oil sear the meaty sides of ribs and transfer to 2 9x13 pans, meat side down. Sprinkle 1 pkg soup mix over each, then add 1/2 of Dr Pepper to each pan. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours. Transfer ribs to rimmed baking sheet. Turn oven temp to 375. Mix BBQ sauce and 1 cup of braising liquid in small saucepan. Cook about 15 minutes, until thickened. Brush ribs with sauce mix and bake an additional 15 minutes. Serve hot with extra sauce.
