Boots and Kimo's Homestyle Roast Beef image

3/4 cup Hawaiian seasoned salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 stick fresh rosemary, needles chopped
14- to 15-pound roast, at room temperature
7 cups beef broth

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 230 degrees F.
  • Start by combining the salt, garlic, onion powder, black pepper and rosemary.
  • Then thoroughly coat the whole roast with the dry rub. Next place your room temperature seasoned roast onto a rack set in a roasting pan.
  • Pour the beef broth into bottom of the roasting pan. Place everything into oven and roast for 5 hours.
  • When finished set the roast aside for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
