I had a lot of chicken fried steak left over and decided to make a new soup out of it. This turned out to be delicious, and it reminds me so much of Campbell's Vegetable Beef soup, only it tastes a whole lot better! You can also use chunks of chuck beef seasoned with my special seasoning, dredged in flour and seared if you...

Steps:
- 1. Combine all the ingredients for the seasoning and mix well. Store in an air tight pint jar. This seasoning is the seasoning I use for my Chicken Fried Steak recipe. https://www.justapinch.com/recipe/utahn/chicken-fried-steak-the-best/beef?k=chicken+fried+steak+bonnie&p=1&o=r It also perfectly seasons a hearty beef soup, and use it on pork chops.
- 2. I use a dutch oven like this to make my soup.
- 3. It takes about 20 minutes to chop and saute fresh meat. If using fresh meat, simmer the soup for about a half hour or 45 minutes before adding the vegetables. If you are using leftover chicken fried steak. It is already tenderized. Simmer the soup about two hours until the vegetables are tender.
- 4. CHOP AND SAUTE Add celery, onion, bell pepper, carrots, potatoes and garlic to the dutch oven. Saute all the vegetables in a little olive oil, except the cooked green beans which you will add the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
- 5. SEASON IT Add the beef broth, tomato puree, water, beef granules, bay leaf and the special seasoning. Add salt if necessary.
- 6. SERVE IT Have a big bowl with cornbread and enjoy!
