Steps:
- > In a microwave-safe bowl break the chocolate into pieces, add the butter (one stick), and heat in microwave till both are melted ~ 30 seconds to one minute depending on your oven power. Briefly stir the melted chocolate and butter till smooth and glossy. > In another bowl beat together the sugar, eggs, vanilla, & coffee granules. To this add the melted butter & chocolate mixture. > Add the dry ingredients and the nuts ~ stir or beat till combined. > Pour into a greased 8x8x2 inch pan. You may line pan with wax paper or parchment for ease of removal from pan if you wish. > Bake at 325 degrees for about 30 minutes. Brownie surface will rise, then fall and may just begin to crack when done. > Cool, cut and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Note: For ease of slicing you may flip the brownie out of it's pan and cut into 16 squares ~ then cover the cut brownies again with the pan and flip it back over so they go back into the pan neatly cut & ready for easy handling and serving.
