BLACK PEPPER BEEF STIR-FRY image

I am not a big fan of the all mighty red meat, but if the marinade is a great tasting one, then I will definitely eat it.

Number Of Ingredients 16

MARINADE:
2 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
1 tablespoon(s) sherry cooking wine
1/2 teaspoon(s) sesame oil
2 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
1 teaspoon(s) black pepper
1/2 pound(s) flank steak, thinly sliced, across the grain
SAUCE:
1 tablespoon(s) oyster sauce mixed with 1 tbsp. water
1/2 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon(s) sherry cooking wine
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) sesame oil
1/2 - yello onion, thinly sliced
1 small bell pepper, your color choice
2 tablespoon(s) peanut oil

Steps:

  • Mix together the ingredients for the marinade.
  • Add the flank steak slices and marinate, chilled for 1 hour.
  • Mix together the ingredients for the sauce.
  • Heat the peanut oil in a deep large skillet on medium-high.
  • Drain the excess marinade off the flank steak slices and add them to the skillet and stir-fry until just cooked, about 3 minutes.
  • Remove the flank steak from the skillet and heat the remaining Tbsp. of peanut oil.
  • Stir-fry the onions and bell peppers until they begin to caramelize, about 2 minutes.
  • Add back the beef to the skillet and add 1/2 Tbsp. sherry cooking wine to deglaze, then add the sauce and mix well to coat.
  • Serve hot over rice or *cake noodles.

  • You can also add your favorite vegetables to the flank steak.
