1 pound black beans
6 cups Water
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 small Garlic clove, chopped
2 teaspoon Cumin seed
1 teaspoon Ground coriander
1 teaspoon Turmeric
1 teaspoon Paprika
half teaspoon ground ginger
salt and ground red pepper
1 cup whipping cream

Steps:

  • Rinse the beans in a colander under cold running water. Drain well. Transfer to a 6-8 quart pot.
