BJ's Blonde Brownies image

I remember having blonde brownies for the first time when I was in high school and loved them so much that I came up with this recipe which seems pretty close to the taste I remembered.

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
3/4 cup(s) butter
1/2 cup(s) light brown sugar
1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
1/2 cup(s) heath english toffee bits
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla ext.
1/2 cup(s) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup(s) semi-sweet white chocolate chips
1 cup(s) sliced almonds
1/2 cup(s) semi-sweet white chocolate chips for top

Steps:

  • In medium mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, & salt.
  • Using mixer.... cream butter, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, & heath bits. Add eggs, vanilla, & continue mixing until smooth. Add flour, baking soda & salt mixture a little at the time & continue mixing until well blended.
  • Add chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, almonds, and mix well. Spray 9" X 13" pan or coat with butter. Spread mixture in pan & top with remaining white chips. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 min.
