Bisnonna's Tuna Parmesan Recipe image

Simple, delicious, and passed down through an Italian great-grandmother, this tuna Parmesan recipe makes an easy weeknight meal.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 (8 ounce) jars tuna packed in oil, drained
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 cup olive oil
1 (8 ounce) can pasta sauce

Steps:

  • Combine tuna, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and egg in a medium mixing bowl. Form into around 7 patties. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly brown patties in the hot oil, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Bring pasta sauce to a simmer in a separate skillet. Add tuna patties, cover with sauce, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
