Bierocks Recipe image

Number Of Ingredients 5

5 loaves of frozen bread dough, thawed
4 lb. hamburger
favorite seasonings added (amount to your taste) - I like Morton Nature's Seasons
1 Large onion, diced or chopped (or more if you like a lot of onion)
2 lb. shredded cheese of your choice (I like sharp cheddar or Colby Jack)

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 375 degrees 1. Mix hamburger with onions and seasonings. Cook thoroughly and strain all juices from the meat mixture. 2. Add cheese to meat mixture and stir together. 3. Cut each bread loaf into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a circle about the size of a small salad plate. 4. Scoop meat mixture into the bread dough circle with an ice cream scoop and then pinch the dough together tightly. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. 5. Brush tops of bierocks liberally with melted butter and sprinkle lightly with garlic salt. 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 30 bierocks
