Bewitching Chili image

Number Of Ingredients 16

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 c red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 32-oz can(s) tomato juice
1 15-oz can(s) hot chili beans, undrained
1 14-oz can(s) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 10-oz can(s) condensed beef broth, undiluted
1 6-oz can(s) tomato paste
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
sour cream

Steps:

  • 1. In a Dutch oven, cook beef, peppers, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • 2. Stir in tomato juice, beans, tomatoes, broth, tomato paste and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • 3. Serve in Cauldron Bread Bowls (see recipe) if desired. Garnish with sour cream.
