Best Pasta Dish Ever image

This recipe was named by a dear friend of mine. After she had tasted this dish she said it was the "Best Pasta Dish Ever", and there was my title! Thanks Christy! I've also added bacon and pepperoni to this dish and it just adds to the flavor! Yum!

Number Of Ingredients 22

10 chicken tenderloins
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 pkg fresh diced mushrooms
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp butter
1 jar(s) favorite alfredo sauce
1/2 c half and half
1/2 c parmesan cheese grated
1/2 c chicken broth, low salt
1 small can black olives
1 can(s) diced tomatoes
1 pkg fresh spinach or frozen but thawed and squeezed
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried basil
1 lb penne pasta, cooked al dente
extra parmesan cheese for sprinkling

Steps:

  • 1. Heat 1 large skillet with olive oil on Medium/High heat.
  • 2. Boil/salt water for pasta. Cook pasta and have ready to add to sauce.
  • 3. Season chicken tenderloins and cook in skillet until done. Remove from skillet and set aside to cool.
  • 4. Add butter, onions, mushrooms, and garlic to skillet. Saute until tender.
  • 5. Add alfredo sauce, half and half, parmesan cheese, and chicken broth. Wisk until blended and bubbly.
  • 6. Add all other ingredients and stir until well blended. If too thick more broth can be added.
  • 7. Dice up cooled chicken tenderloins and add to sauce.
  • 8. Add cooked pasta and stir until well blended. Serve with extra parmesan cheese.
