BEST GLAZED CHICKEN BREASTS image

Number Of Ingredients 11

Four 6-8oz chicken breasts, brined for half an hour in 1.5 quarts of water with 1/4c salt and 1/4c sugar.
2t dried milk powder
1/2t black pepper
Glaze:
2T rice wine vinegar
1t cornstarch
1/3c hoisin sauce
2T corn syrup
2T siracha
1t grated ginger
1/4t 5-spice powder

Steps:

  • Whisk vinegar and corn starch in a saucepan to make a slurry. Add hoisin, corn syrup, siracha, ginger and 5-spice. Mix together, and put over high heat simmer 1 minute. Set aside. Combine milk powder and pepper. After chicken is brined, pat dry and rub with the dried milk powder and pepper. Brush glaze on chicken and broil, getting both sides covered.
