Bennigan's-Inspired Finn's Beer-Battered Fish & Chips image

Prepare this scrumptious and easy beer-battered fish and chips recipe tonight for dinner. This Bennigan's copycat recipe will have your kitchen filled with a delicious aroma and will be a satisfying meal.

Number Of Ingredients 12

4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into strips
1 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 C. milk
1 C. beer
1 egg
1 C. vegetable oil for frying
1 1/2 lbs. cod fillets
1 T. paprika
1 C. jalapeno tartar sauce

Steps:

  • Place potatoes in a bowl of cold water. Meanwhile in a different bowl mix the flour, baking powder, salt, milk, eggs, beer, paprika, and pepper together. Then preheat the a greased skillet to 350 degrees F. Fry the potatoes in the skillet. Now garnish the fish in the batter and place them in the hot skillet for about 7 minutes per side. Serve with french fries, creamy coleslaw, and jalapeno tartar sauce.
