Steps:
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Add the vanilla extract and egg. 3. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and 1/2 cup of the sesame seeds. Add this dry mixture to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix well. 4. Form the dough into 1-inch balls. If the dough is too soft to form balls, add a little extra flour. Spread the remaining 1 cup of sesame seeds, 1/2 cup at a time, over a large plate. Roll the balls in the sesame seeds. 5. Place the balls on a greased cookie sheet and flatten them with the bottom of a glass. 6. Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until light brown in color.
