Beer Cheese Soup image

Number Of Ingredients 10

0.5 cups butter
1 cups flour
5.5 cups half and half
214 ounces chicken broth
16 ounces cheez whiz
6 ounces beer
1 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 units salt and pepper
1 units chives
1 units popcorn

Steps:

  • Melt together butter and flour for a minute over medium heat. Stir in half & half and chicken broth and whisk until mixture becomes smooth and begins to thicken.
  • Stir in Cheez Whiz, beer, Worcestershire sauce and season to taste with salt and pepper. Continue to cook until mixture becomes thick again and heated through, usually around 10 minutes. Important to continue stirring to avoid burning.
  • Serve with a sprinkling of chives and handful of popcorn in place of crackers.
