Since we live several miles from town, we can't go get Pizza as often as we would like. I decided that I would start making them at home and it has pretty much become a Sunday night ritual. Our 7 year old is very picky and, for the most part, she usually demands cheese only. I knew that she loved BBQ Pork sandwiches so, I decided to try the BBQ in a Pizza form. The result? She loves it!

1 - pizza crust (i use the recipe at http://www.laurenslatest.com/fail-proof-pizza-dough-and-cheesy-garlic-bread-sticks-just-like-in-restaurants/ )
1/2 cup(s) spaghetti or pizza sauce
1/2 cup(s) bbq sauce
1 pound(s) bbq pulled pork
1 cup(s) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cup(s) mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup(s) butter
4-5 clove(s) garlic, chopped

Steps:

  • Prepare your crust as directed. If using the recipe that I linked, you will need to prepare it 2 hours prior to making your pizza.
  • When ready to prepare your pizza, preheat the oven to 425.
  • Spread your pizza crust out onto a pizza pan (mine is a 16 inch diameter)
  • Combine the Spaghetti/Pizza sauce with the BBQ Sauce and spread onto the crust.
  • Top with "dollops" of BBQ Pork and then both of the cheeses.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until done.
  • While the pizza is baking, melt butter in a saucepan and add the chopped garlic. Simmer for a few minutes to flavor the butter with the garlic.
  • After taking the pizza out, brush the garlic butter on the crust edge.
