Bar-B-Q Ribs image

This Rib recipe is the best I've ever made. I've tried many rib recipes over the years and this is the one I'm staying with.

THE DRY RUB
2 1/2 tablespoon(s) chili powder
2 tablespoon(s) ground cumin
1 tablespoon(s) ground coriander
1 tablespoon(s) kosher salt
1 tablespoon(s) paprika
1 tablespoon(s) dark brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon(s) ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
3/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
- barbecue sauce (i use sweet baby rays)

Steps:

  • For one rack of ribs (aprox. 3 pounds) sprinkle rub onto meat, press in. Wrap rack in aluminum foil and chill over night.
  • When ready to cook, place ribs into a crockpot, cover and set to low. Cook for 3 to 4 hours or until meat pulls about an inch away from edge of bone.
  • When cooked, brush Bar-B-Q sauce onto ribs. Place in oven, set at 450 to 500 degrees for 15 minutes or until sauce gets brown.
  • Cooks note: I put the rub into a shaker with large holes. Use the amount of rub to your taste. Use the amount of Bar-B-Q sauce to your taste. You will have to cut the ribs to fit into your crockpot. The ribs may also be cooked in the oven.
