Baklava Recipe image

This Baklava recipe is a showstopper dessert! Buttery phyllo sheets stacked between a cinnamon-nut filling, then finished with a honey glaze.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 strip orange peel
16 ounce package phyllo (fillo) dough ( (40 sheets), thawed according to package instructions)
1 pound walnuts (, finely chopped (about 4 cups))
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 1/4 cups unsalted butter (, melted)
