Steps:
- 1. Slice tomatoes in 1/2" slices and layer in casserole dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and sugar. Then add the cracker crumbs and dot with butter.
- 2. Bake at 350 until tender but still firm - the time will depend on the thickness and greenness of the tomatoes - but will probably range from 30 to 45 minutes.
