How to make Baked Country Style Ribs

Number Of Ingredients 7

2-2 1/2 pounds of pork bone-in country-style ribs
garlic salt
black pepper
1 bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce, or your homemade recipe
cooking spray
13 X 17 baking dish
aluminum foil

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 275 degrees
  • Take some aluminum foil and press it along the bottom and up the sides of your baking dish. Coat with cooking oil. Place ribs in dish and sprinkle lightly with garlic salt and black pepper. Cover dish with another sheet of aluminum foil and place in oven.
  • Bake ribs for 2 hours and remove from oven to check for tenderness. You may wish to bake for an additional 30 minutes. After this initial baking time (2 to 2 1/2 hours) remove pan from oven and drain off accumulated drippings. Spread about 1 cup of barbecue sauce evenly over your ribs, recover dish with foil and return to oven for about 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • At this point your ribs should be very tender! Serve family style with additional warm barbecue sauce and your favorite sides.
