AUNT NANCY'S LEMON BARS image

Yield 24 medium sized bars

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups plus 4 tablespoons of flour
1 Teaspoon Vanilla bean paste
2 sticks of butter (melted)
2 cups granulated sugar
6 tablespoons of lemon juice
½ cup of powdered sugar
4 eggs
½ teaspoon baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350. Mix 2 cups of flour, powdered sugar, vanilla bean paste and butter. Pat into 9x13" ungreased Pyrex dish and bake for 20 min. Beat eggs until creamy. Add 4 tbsp of flour, sugar, baking powder and lemon juice. Blend. Pour over crust and bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.
