Steps:
- Par-cook asparagus until near tender
- Place cooked rice in the bottom of a well greased 10x6 baking dish. Top with the asparagus.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, blend in flour. Add evaporated milk and water and cook until thickened. Turn off heat.
- Add salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Add cheese and ham. Pour over rice mixture. Sprinkle with almonds.
- Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes.
