Asian Ahi Tuna with Kale and Red Peppers Recipe - (5/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 18

2 Ahi Tuna Steaks
Marinade
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red cooking wine
1/4 cup water
3 T. low sodium soy sauce
Juice of a lime
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 t. pepper
3 T. fresh grated ginger
Kale and Red Peppers
2 T. olive oil
2 red bellpeppers, seeded and sliced
1 head of kale, stems removed and chopped
1 large shallot, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 t. Chinese Five Spice
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Mix all marinade ingredients. Place tuna steaks in a sealable bag. Add marinade, seal and let sit for about 30 minutes. Sear tuna steaks on each side (best served rare but cook to your liking). In a large pan, heat olive oil on medium heat. Add the shallots, garlic, kale and peppers. Stir and add seasonings. Cook until peppers begin to soften.
