Argentine Sauteed Swiss Chard image

Argentine Sauteed Swiss Chard (Acelgas Saltada) is a simple and delicious treatment for an easy sauteed Swiss chard.

10 oz bunch swiss chard
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, sliced
1 tsp garlic paste
salt and pepper
1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg
2 Tbsp golden raisins, chopped
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

Steps:

  • 1. Remove stems from chard and chop leaves coarsely.
  • 2. Heat oil in a large pan and saute onion and garlic until soft.
  • 3. Add chopped chard leaves, salt, pepper, and a generous splash of balsamic vinegar.
  • 4. Cover an with a lid until leaves wilt, about one minute.
  • 5. Add raisins and continue to cook, stir-frying, until chard is as tender as you like,
  • 6. Season with a pinch or two if nutmeg, to taste.
