Appetizer Essentials: Dinner Roll Meatballs image

In other words, we are going to make a yummy appetizer using 3 of my posted recipes. Essentially, this is a yeast dinner roll with a meatball in the middle. So yummy. So, you ready... Steps:

  • PREP/PREPARE
  • Chef's Note: One of my goals here at Just-a-Pinch is to develop enough versatile recipes, that they can be combined to make other recipes, and this recipe utilizes three of my posted recipes to produce yummy dinner rolls stuffed with a tasty meatball, and dipped into a heavenly marinara sauce. If you are in a bit of a rush, you can use store-bought meatballs, store-bought dinner roll dough, and store-bought marinara sauce... But, where is the fun in that? RECIPES Here are the three recipes that I used to make these yummy appetizers: https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/pork/delicious-beef-pork-meatballs.html?r=14 https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/bread/other-bread/ready-when-you-want-them-freshly-baked-yeast-rolls.html?r=6 https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/sauce-spread/other-sauce-spread/traditional-italian-red-sauce.html?r=3
  • Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).
  • Make twelve meatballs about 1 ounce each, and 12 balls of yeast dough about 1/2 ounce each.
  • Wrap the dough around the meatballs, and then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chef's Note: Allow them to rise in a warm, non-drafty place for about 30 minutes.
  • Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 350f (175c).
  • Add the baking sheet to the preheated oven, and baked until the rolls area nice golden brown, about 12 - 14 minutes.
  • PLATE/PRESENT
  • Place on a platter along with the marinara sauce, and stand back. Enjoy.
  • Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
