Anna's BBQ Ribs (2) image

Number Of Ingredients 17

1 tablespoon Chili Powder
1 tablespoon Oregano
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
1 tablespoon Cayenne Pepper
2 cloves Garlic
1 tablespoon Paprika
1 Onion
1/3 cups Brown Sugar
2 strips Bacon
1 tablespoon Cumin
1 strips Thyme
1 tablespoon Olive oil
1/4 cup Molasses
3 tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
1 cup Peach Preserves
2 cups Catsup

Steps:

  • For Rub: Mix chili powder, oregano, salt, pepper, cayenne.
  • Rub on ribs, cover with foil and seal.
  • Place on cookie sheets and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.
  • For Sauce:
  • Fry 2 slices bacon in olive oil with fresh thyme.
  • Add garlic and onion and salute in bacon grease.
  • Add 3 cups catsup, peach preserves, molasses, brown sugar, paprika and cumin.
  • After 1 1/2 hours, check ribs for tenderness.
  • If coming off the bone, coat both sides with sauce and bake covered for another 1 hour.
  • Open foil for last 1/2 hour. Finish on grill if desired.
