Anchovy Butter image

Spoon this umami-rich compound butter over your favorite steak as it rests.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 cup(s) unsalted butter, softened
4 clove(s) garlic, minced
8 - anchovies, packed in oil, drained and minced
1/2 teaspoon(s) hot paprika
1/2 teaspoon(s) fresh lemon juice
- kosher salt, to taste

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • Mix with a fork until smooth and spread on steak. Or transfer to waxed paper, roll into a cylinder, chill, and slice.
