Ingredients

1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter of margarine
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp backing soda
1 (12 oz) pkg chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts (optional)

Steps:

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Add dry ingredients, mix well. Add chocolate chip and nuts.
Bake at 375 deg. for 10 to 12 min. Remove from pan to cool.
