6-LAYER BREAKFAST CASSEROLE image

Number Of Ingredients 10

6 whole eggs
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper, ground
1 pkg. sausage, cooked, crumbled, drained
1/4 cup jalapeno pepper, 1/4-inch dice
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
2 tbsp. garlic, minced
1 tsp. ground ground cumin
4 slices bread

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix the eggs and heavy cream in a bowl with the salt and pepper. In a separate bowl, place the sausage, jalapeno pepper, cheese, garlic and cumin. Place 1/3 of the egg mixture in the bottom of a 2-qt. baking dish. Top with a slice of bread. Place 1/3 of the sausage mixture on top of the bread. Repeat layers until last slice of bread is on top. Add remaining 1/3 of sausage ingredients evenly across the top slice of bread. Bake for 15 minutes.
