5-Layer Cracker Toffee Bars image

The only thing more satisfying than a decadent dessert is a dessert that combines both salty and sweet tastes. This recipe for 5-Layer Cracker Toffee Bars is unexpectedly easy to make, and the resulting bars are ridiculously tasty. A salty crust made from crushed Ritz crackers is topped with chocolate, toasted pecans, toffee bits, and shredded coconut before being baked until golden brown. You won't be able to stop after just one bite of these crumbly, gooey 5-layer bars.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 stick unsalted butter, melted
3 sleeves Ritz Crackers, crushed
1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
3/4 cup toffee bits
1 cup shredded coconut, toasted
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with tinfoil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Combine crushed crackers with melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool for 3-5 minutes.
  • After the crust has cooled slightly, top with the remaining ingredients in even layers in the following order: chocolate chips, chopped pecans, toffee bits, toasted coconut.
  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the bars are golden brown. Allow to cool for 2 hours before cutting into squares and serving.
