5-Hour Beef Stew image

This is an easy way to have a hot supper in a flash... perfect for those extra-hectic days! All you need to complete the meal is a salad and some crusty bread.

Number Of Ingredients 15

3 lb stew beef, cubed
2 oz red wine
1 can(s) tomatoes with green chiles, large
1 Tbsp sugar
1 pkg frozen peas
1 Tbsp salt
6 carrots, sliced
1 tsp pepper
3 medium potatoes, cubed
1/4 tsp thyme
3 medium onions, coarsely chopped
1/4 tsp marjoram
1 c chopped celery
1/2 tsp rosemary
3 Tbsp instant tapioca

Steps:

  • 1. Cut beef into cubes and place in deep casserole. Pour red wine over meat.
  • 2. Cube vegetables and place on top of meat.
  • 3. Add seasonings and bake for 5 hours at 300.
