½ cup butter
1 large onion, chopped
10 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (12 ounce) can beer
¼ cup dry white wine
3 (1.41 ounce) packages sazon seasoning with saffron (such as Goya® Azafran)
hot sauce
salt to taste
1 pound large shrimp, shells left on
3 cups cooked white rice, or to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until tender but not brown, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir beer, white wine, sazon, hot sauce, and salt into the skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, 3 to 4 minutes. Add rice; heat through for about 5 minutes. Stir in parsley.

¼ cup finely chopped onion
½ cup water
1 lemon, juiced
8 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 (1.41 ounce) packages sazon seasoning with saffron (such as Goya® Azafran)
salt and ground black pepper to taste
½ (12 ounce) bottle beer
2 teaspoons hot sauce (such as Tabasco®), or to taste
1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and saute until slightly golden, about 5 minutes. Stir in water, lemon juice, garlic, sazon, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes. Pour in beer and stir. Add hot sauce; bring to a boil. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3 minutes.

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 pounds uncooked shell-on shrimp (16-20 per pound)
2 envelopes sazon with coriander and annatto
2 teaspoons garlic salt
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 bay leaf
1 bottle (12 ounces) beer or 1-1/2 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender, 4-5 minutes. Add garlic and shrimp; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in seasonings. Add beer and lemon juice; bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, until shrimp turn pink, 10-15 minutes. Stir in ketchup and parsley; discard bay leaf. Serve with rice.

1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 medium onion ((about 1/3 cup))
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 cup dry white wine
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 pinch sea salt and pepper, (to taste)
2 tbsp tabasco or sriracha hot sauce
1 tbsp olive oil + 1 tbsp water
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)

Steps:

  • Heat oil in cast iron skillet. Add onion and garlic and cook until fragrant (2 mins). Add wine and cook until reduced by half (4 mins)
  • Add shrimp and cook until no longer pink (4 mins). Add butter and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Meanwhile mix the sauce ingredients and whisk to combine.
  • Stir in sauce and cook until heated through (2 mins)
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve over white rice

12 -14 shrimp (med or large, shelled and deveined)
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion (chopped fine)
2 tablespoons parsley (chopped)
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 pinch saffron (or 1 packet sazon goya con azafran)
salt & freshly ground black pepper
3 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
1/2-3/4 cup white wine (or dark beer)
2 cups white rice (cooked)

Steps:

  • In a medium mixing bowl add grllic, saffron (or sazon goya), crushed red pepper, turmeric,salt and pepper, mix gently.
  • Add 2 T. butter and 1 T. olive oil to pan add onion; cook until soft (4-5 min.) over medium heat, add contents of bowl stir and cook another 1-2 minute Add wine or beer, bring to boil and reduce for 2 minute over medium high heat.
  • Add shrimp, parsley and rest of butter, cook over medium heat until shrimp are done, serve over rice.
