This is an incredibly simple marinade, but delicious! My dad got it from a Polynesian friend at work- It goes great with tofu, chicken, or any other meat, and is very easy to remember and double.

1 cup sugar
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup white vinegar
1 -2 teaspoon minced garlic (optional)
lots black pepper

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl until the sugar dissolves. Add chicken, fish, or any other meat and marinate several hours or overnight.

2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
6 kumquats, minced
2 tablespoons fresh, grated orange rind
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Blend all the ingredients and pour the marinade over your chicken.
  • Marinate 4-24 hours in the refrigerator, turning pieces occasionally.

1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
1 (6 ounce) can pineapple juice
2 large crushed garlic cloves

Steps:

  • Pour it all in a large zip loc. Shake well.
  • Add your raw meat such as steak,pork,chicken parts of chicken breasts or veggies. I have also prethreaded shish kebabs and it worked great.
  • Grill on indirect heat of a good bbq grill. I use hickory wood chips on the coals to really enhance this.
  • Enjoy!
  • It's fat free.

Steps:

  • Mix ingredients until blended.
  • Pour over steak, chicken or fish in shallow dish. Refrigerate 1 hour to marinate, turning after 30 min.
  • Remove meat from marinade; discard marinade. Cook meat as desired until done.
