Transform pita bread into a pizza crust with this five-ingredient, three-step recipe.

6 pita breads (6 inch)
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce (any flavor) or pizza sauce
2 cups shredded or chopped cooked chicken
1 can (4.5 ounces) Old El Paso™ chopped green chiles, drained
1 1/2 cups shredded taco-flavored cheese (6 ounces)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Place pita breads on ungreased cookie sheet. Spread tomato sauce over pita breads. Top with chicken and chilies. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until pizzas are hot and cheese is melted.

2 cups shredded taco-seasoned cheese blend (8 oz)
1 package (14 oz) prebaked original Italian pizza crust (12 inch)
1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken
2 plum (Roma) tomatoes, thinly sliced
1 small jalapeño chile, seeded, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Heat gas or charcoal grill. Sprinkle cheese evenly over pizza crust. Top with remaining ingredients.
  • Place pizza on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 8 to 10 minutes or until crust is crisp and cheese is melted. (If crust browns too quickly, place a piece of aluminum foil between crust and grill.)
