1 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons low-fat ricotta cheese
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon white sugar
4 slices sandwich bread

Steps:

  • Stir peanut butter and ricotta cheese together in a bowl until smooth. Add vanilla extract, cinnamon, and white sugar to peanut butter mixture; stir until completely blended.
  • Spread peanut butter mixture on one side of two of the pieces of bread; top peanut butter mixture with apples. Place remaining slices of bread over the apples.

1 Gala apple, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
½ teaspoon white sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
8 slices whole wheat bread
¼ cup unsalted butter

Steps:

  • Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl. Spread one tablespoon of peanut butter onto one side of 8 slices of bread.
  • Arrange apple slices on 4 slices of bread. Sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mixture evenly over the apples. Top with the remaining 4 slices of bread, peanut butter face down.
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry sandwiches until browned, about 1 to 2 minutes on each side.

2 slices bread (I use Sara Lee white whole grain)
2 tablespoons peanut butter (I usually use regular pb, but I have found a healthier one at Super Target called Creamy Sunbutter,)
1 Red Delicious apple

Steps:

  • Get the bread and put peanut butter on both sides of the bread.
  • Cut apple into slices, kind of like cheese slices, but thicker, put on one side of bread.I usually don't use the whole apple.

1 -2 tablespoon peanut butter (natural works well)
1/4-1/2 medium apple, sliced 1/4-1/2-inch thick (the amount depends on the size of your bread)
1 dash cinnamon

  • Slice the apple into slices; you can either core the apple with a corer first or cut out the core when you get to it; peel if you feel necessary.
  • Put your bread into the toaster.
