A great way to feed bran to the kids. Uses very basic ingredients, and are quick and simple to make.WARNING: These are addictive. Chocolate chips are optional, but I think they make all the difference.

Number Of Ingredients 10

50 g wheat bran
150 g flour
1 teaspoon salt
100 g brown sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
150 g crunchy peanut butter (I use unsweetened)
250 ml milk
2 eggs
50 g butter, melted
100 g semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Steps:

  • In a bowl, mix the bran with the flour, the salt, the brown sugar, and the baking powder.
  • In a separate bowl, blend peanut butter with the milk. Add the eggs and the melted butter. Mix well.
  • Incorporate liquids into initial flour preparation. Blend in chocolate chip (if using).
  • Pour into muffin tins. Bake at 400F for 15-20 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean and muffins are golden.

1 cup butter, melted
¾ cup packed brown sugar
¾ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup wheat bran
¾ cup rolled oats
2 teaspoons baking soda

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, peanut butter and eggs. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, bran, oats, and baking soda. Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture until smooth. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove to a rack to cool.

1 1/2 cups bran flakes
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup unsalted peanuts
1/4 cup craisins
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Mix together chocolate chips, milk and butter in a small saucepan. Heat until the chocolate chips have melted.
  • Heat the honey in the microwave for 10 seconds. (just to help it work in better)
  • Pour honey onto the bran flakes and mix them together. Add craisins and peanuts.
  • Stir in chocolate chip mixture.
  • Spread into a small pan and put into the freezer for 10-15 minutes.

2 cups Complete® wheat bran flakes
1 1/3 cups fat-free milk
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1 egg

Steps:

  • 1. In medium mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Set aside.2. Measure KELLOGG'S COMPLETE Wheat Bran Flakes cereal and milk into large mixing bowl. Let stand about 2 minutes or until cereal is softened. Add peanut butter and egg. Beat well. Stir in flour mixture. Spread batter evenly in greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.3. 1 large egg, room temperature
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup peanut butter
Grape jelly, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, whisk egg, milk and peanut butter until smooth; stir into flour mixture just until combined.
