As much as we like lasagna, it can be a time-consuming dish. So we came up with this Parmesan-Rotini Skillet. All of the flavor-none of the fuss.

1 lb. Italian sausage
1-1/2 cups CLASSICO Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce
1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cups water
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
3 cups rotini pasta, uncooked
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided
1/2 tsp. parsley flakes

Steps:

  • Crumble sausage into Dutch oven or large deep skillet; cook 8 to 10 min. or until evenly browned, stirring frequently. Drain sausage; return to pan.
  • Stir in pasta sauce, tomatoes, water and herbs. Bring to boil. Add pasta; stir. Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 20 min. or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Mix ricotta, 1/4 cup Parmesan and parsley until blended; spoon over pasta mixture, then swirl gently with spoon. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan.

1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 jar (1 lb. 10 oz.) Ragú® Old World Style® Pasta Sauce
3 cups water
12 ounces uncooked whole wheat rotini pasta
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz.)

Steps:

  • 1. Brown ground beef in 12-inch skillet; drain.
  • 2. Stir in Pasta Sauce and water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in uncooked rotini and return to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook covered, stirring occasionally, 14 minutes or until rotini is tender. Remove from heat, then sprinkle with cheese. Cover and let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

1 ½ cups chopped fresh broccoli
1 (16 ounce) package uncooked rotini pasta
½ cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup lemon juice
salt and ground black pepper to taste
¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Stir in the broccoli, and cook, uncovered, for 3 minutes. Remove the broccoli with a slotted spoon; set aside. Stir the rotini into the same pot, and return to a boil. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked through, but still firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir the garlic and crushed red pepper for 1 minute. Stir in the broccoli, chicken broth, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the broccoli is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in the drained pasta; cook over low heat for 1 minute. Stir in the Parmesan cheese.

10 reduced-fat round buttery cracker, crushed (about 1/2 cup crumbs)
3 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 egg white
4 small boneless skinless chicken breasts (1 lb.)
2 cups CLASSICO Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce, divided
1 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Steps:

  • Cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package. Meanwhile, combine cracker crumbs, Parmesan cheese and oregano in pie plate. Lightly beat egg white in separate pie plate. Dip chicken in egg white, then roll in crumb mixture until evenly coated. Set aside.
  • Spray large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Heat on medium heat. Add chicken; cook 5 min. on each side or until cooked through (165ºF).
