ICE CREAM OREO® COOKIE PIE

Ice Cream Oreo® Cookie Pie image

My daughter requests this pie for her birthday each year. It is embarrassing how easy it is, despite its popularity with both adults and children!

Provided by cookin'mama

Time 4h20m

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 (16 ounce) package mini chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo® Mini)
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
1 (6 ounce) chocolate sandwich cookie crumb crust (such as an OREO® crust)
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Reserve 8 mini sandwich cookies for garnish. Place remaining cookies in a food processor or plastic bag and crush coarsely.
  • Stir crushed cookies into softened ice cream. Put ice cream mixture into cookie crust and place in the freezer until set, about 1 hour.
  • Pipe whipped topping around the edge of the pie and top with the reserved cookies, standing on end. Freeze for 3 to 8 hours before serving.

Peanut Butter Yogurt Pie (with Oreo Cookie Crust!) image

I haven't tried this yet, but it looks really yummy! Saw it on a cute blog called sagaofatwentysomething.com and it turns out they got it from another blog, http://www.littlebittybakes.com/2012/01/peanut-butter-yogurt-pie/. In the directions for the pie on that blog, they say you can use your favorite cookie crust such as Oreos,...

OREO COOKIE PIE CRUST

Just another way to enjoy an Oreo! Use this crust for no-bake refrigerated pies as the crust holds up well with chilled fillings.

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 2

24 whole oreo cookies
1/4 c melted unsalted butter

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium-sized bowl or a food processor, add the Oreo cookies and blend until the texture of coarse meal. Add the melted butter and blend until well combined.
  • 2. Place the ground crumb mixture into a 9- or 10-inch deep-dish pie pan and press onto the bottom and up the sides evenly. Try to make the crust about 1/8 inch (1/3 cm) evenly all around.
  • 3. Refrigerate the crust for at least an hour before you add the filling of your choice. This will help prevent crumbling when you want to serve it. Makes 1 pie crust.

CANDY CANE ICE CREAM PIE WITH OREO COOKIE CRUST

Candy Cane Ice Cream Pie With Oreo Cookie Crust image

Basic recipe from Woman's World 12/18/08, but I have added instructions for an Oreo pie crust. Preparation time includes chilling time. To allow advance preparation of the whipped cream topping, I use Recipe #485591 #485591. Made 12/18/13: whipped cream was unnecessary; vanilla layer did not impress, why not use chocolate mint as a contrast? Used 12 Star Light peppermint candies in clock face layout and crushed 6 candies to sprinkle over top. I recommend using a rich ice cream so that it will soften easily. Edy's Grand Peppermint was super in this.

OREO COOKIE PIE

This is always my go-to recipe for gatherings. Very simple and inexpensive to make. You can also substitute store-brand names for the foods.

Provided by KNM5683

Categories     Dessert

Time 15m

Yield 1 9 x 12 Pan, 10-12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 (18 ounce) bags chocolate sandwich style cookies (Oreos or the store-brand)
1 (16 ounce) container whipped topping (Cool Whip or the store-brand)
1 (8 ounce) cream cheese (Philadelphia or the store-brand)
1 cup powdered sugar, divided
4 (3 1/2 ounce) prepared vanilla, pudding cups (Like Hunt's Snack-Packs or the store-brand)

Steps:

  • Crush two rows of the first bag of cookies. You can put them in a ziplock-type bag and use a rolling pin, or you can use the bottom of a cup and crush them that way in a bowl. Whichever is easier. Layer these cookies in the bottom of a 9 x 12 pan and set it aside.
  • Using a hand mixer, mix half the tub of whipped topping, ½ cup powdered sugar, the vanilla pudding and the cream cheese well, until blended. Spread this mixture over the cookies.
  • Crush the remaining row of cookies from the first bag and sprinkle over this layer.
  • Using a hand mixer, whip the remaining whipped topping for about 30 seconds, and spread this over the second layer of cookies.
  • Crush two rows of the second bag of cookies, and spread over the whipped topping
  • Garnish with the remaining row of cookies. I normally stand them up in the mixture, so half the cookie is standing up.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining ½ cup of powdered sugar, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
