1 egg
¼ cup milk
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 onions (sliced into rings)

Steps:

  • Pour one inch oil into a deep fryingpan, heat to 375 degrees.
  • Beat egg then add rest of ingredients.
  • Cut onions in ¼-inch rings.
  • Separate rings and dip into batter, one at a time, then drop into hot oil.
  • Fry until golden brown; flip and continue to fry other side.
  • Place onto a paper towel-lined platter.

2 good sized onions
1 egg slightly beaten
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup milk
2 T vegetable oil

Steps:

  • peel and slice onions fairly thick,at least 1/4 inch thick separate rings,refrigerate until ready to use beat egg, add rest of ingredients, mix well heat oil in large saucepan,filled half full. when oil is hot enough, dip onion rings into batter cook until golden brown on both sides
