- Butter square pan, 8x8x2 inches. Heat brown sugar and corn syrup just to boiling in 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and cinnamon until smooth.
- Stir in cereal and peanuts or almonds until evenly coated. Press firmly in pan. Let stand about 1 hour or until set. Cut into 4 rows by 3 rows. Store loosely covered at room temperature.

This is a thick, satisfying, tender, and chewy bar cookie/blondie. A perfect holiday recipe! Don't overcook, as you want these to be moist. I got this recipe from a great online blog, "Baking Bites".

- Preheat oven to 350°F Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper (optional, but aids in getting cookies out of pan).
- Whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt and spices in a large bowl.
- Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and stir in vanilla, egg and melted butter until smooth. Stir in oats and raisins until they are evenly distributed.
- Pour dough into prepared pan and spread into a even layer with a spatula or your fingers. Bake for 22-26 minutes, or until bars are set and the center no longer looks wet. Edges will be golden brown. Cool pan on a wire rack before slicing. Cut into rectangular bars to serve.

- Grease bottom and sides of 9-inch square pan with small amount of butter.
- In 3-quart saucepan, heat sugar, butter, honey and cinnamon to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Stir in dried fruit. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Press mixture in pan with back of wooden spoon. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. For bars, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
