All I can say about this appetizer is "WOW"... you can not stop eating it once you start.

2 c mayo
2 pkg oscar meyer real bacon bits
1 c chopped green onion
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
2 c sliced almonds

Steps:

  • 1. mix all together and chill. Serve with crackers Note : This makes a lot so either freeze half or cut recipe in half the first time you make it.

We had a family reunion in Illinois Aug 17-20, 2018. This recipe was one Sherry brought (a cousin from Champagne Illinois) on Saturday, and was so amazingly good we asked her for the recipe.

2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 c mayo
2 oz hormel bacon bits (the soft ones, not bacos)
2 green onions, sliced thin
4 oz sliced almonds or pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the cheddar and mayo, then add the bacon and onions, and nuts of your choice.
  • 2. Sherry made this with the almonds, and served it with assorted crackers.
