MOOSE MILK
Being a military brat, I've seen many a party with this delicious concoction of copious amounts of alcohol and ice cream. It's like an alcoholic milkshake, but be prepared for the hangover if you drink too much! Great for New Year's parties!

"MOOSE MILK"
An eggnog mixture of old, always enjoyed on January First! A note here is the selection of the rum; there are many favourites, but I would advocate for Lemon Hart Dark, as being the best "mixing" rum to go with the eggnog. (yes you can do this with white tum, Rye, or even Scotch and Brandy, but I wouldn't thank you for the last two!) The drink of choice of too many New Years Day Levees!

Soldiers use to drink this on New Year's day, according to our local news cast this evening, which was serving this at the local Legion Hall.

Steps:
- Beat yolks until fluffy and completely mixed.
- Add the sugar and beat the mixture until thick.
- Stir in the milk and the liquor.
- Chill for at least 3 hours (preferably overnight).
- Whip the cream until good and thick.
- Don't use canned whipped cream as it will go flat.
- Fold in whipped cream (it will appear as if it has totally thinned out, don't worry).
- Chill for another hour.
- Sprinkle the top with nutmeg and cinnamon to taste (optional).
- Serve (when serving keep chilled because of the raw eggs. Normally this is not a problem, as Moose Milk disappears quickly).

MOOSE TRACKS MILK SHAKE
We found this recipe in BH&G Snack Attack Kids' Cookbook. They call it Match Point Malts. We left out the malt to make it gluten-free, but I'm sure it would be delicious with it.
