MINI CINNAMON CRESCENTS



Mini Cinnamon Crescents image

Bake up a batch of warm, tender cinnamon rolls! It's easy when you start with refrigerated crescent rolls or dough sheet.

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count) or 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
4 teaspoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon apple juice or milk

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • If using crescent rolls: Unroll dough; separate dough into 4 rectangles. Firmly press perforations to seal. If using dough sheet: Unroll dough; cut into 4 rectangles.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon butter evenly over each dough rectangle. In small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over rectangles. Sprinkle each with raisins. Starting with short side of each rectangle, roll up; pinch edges to seal. With serrated knife, cut each roll into 5 slices. Place slices, cut side down, in ungreased 8- or 9-inch square pan.
  • Bake 17 to 23 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix powdered sugar and apple juice until smooth. Drizzle over rolls. Serve warm.

Flaky crescent rolls with a cinnamon butter filling and glaze on top for an easy breakfast treat!

8 count crescent rolls
4 Tbsp butter (softened)
1/4 c. white sugar
2 1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp milk
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Unroll the crescent rolls and place on a greased rimmed cookie sheet.
  • In small bowl mix butter, sugar and cinnamon. Spread mixture over Crescent rolls and roll them up. Place tip side down on cookie sheet.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees F 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven.
  • While crescent rolls are baking prepare the glaze. In a small mixing bowl mix milk, powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over Crescent rolls when you pull them out of the oven. Serve immediately.

2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (10 ounce) package hershey's cinnamon baking chips, divided
1 1/2 teaspoons shortening

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Unroll dough; separate into 16 triangles.
  • Spread melted butter on each triangle, Sprinkle 1 cup cinnamon chips evenly over rolls; gently press chips into dough.
  • Roll from shortest side of triangle to opposite point.
  • Place rolls, point side down, on ungreased cookie sheet; curve into crescent shape.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Drizzle with CINNAMON DRIZZLE.
  • Serve warm.

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup cold butter
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
OPTIONAL GLAZE:
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 to 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
4 teaspoons 2% milk

Steps:

  • Combine flour and baking powder in a large bowl; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk and egg. Divide into three portions; shape each portion into a ball., Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle a third over a pastry board or a surface. Roll one ball into a 12-in. circle; cut into 12 wedges. Roll up from wide edge. Repeat with the remaining dough and cinnamon sugar. Place rolls with point side down on a lightly greased baking sheets; form into crescent shapes. Bake at 350° for 16-18 minutes or until lightly browned (do not overbake)., For optional glaze, combine confectioners' sugar, cinnamon and milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled crescents.
