1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup oil

Steps:

  • Mix dry ingredients together in large bowl.
  • Mix wet ingredients in another bowl; then combine with dry and stir till combined.
  • Pour into ungreased 8x8" pan and bake 20-25 min at 400°F.

I use this all the time. It goes well with the Seafood stew and ribs. You will love it! SWEET! I have also fried this batter like a pancake. It taste good and it is fast! Add about 2 tablespoons of oil to the batter and omit the whole corn before frying.

1 box(es) jilly yellow cake mix
2 medium eggs
4 tablespoon(s) sour cream
1/2 can(s) cream style corn
1/4 can(s) whole corn (drain)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together. Butter a medium square shaped pan. Pour batter into pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes depending on your oven. Should be brown on top.

3 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • Combine remaining ingredients and add to dry ingredients and mix well.

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup real butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 cup milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease an 8x8" pan on bottom and sides; set to the side.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk eggs until well blended.
  • Add sugar, milk, melted butter and whisk thoroughly.
  • Add Bisquick and cornmeal to egg mixture, and mix just enough to completely moisten dry ingredients and leave no lumps.
  • Do not overmix.
  • Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out dry and top is firm to touch.
  • Doubles easily into 9x13" pan; adjust baking time accordingly.
