This is my mother-in-laws (Buddha's mom) recipe that well, lets just say 'I can't believe I ate almost the whole thing!' I devoured about a half of one the first time I tried it, it is so awesome! Buddha's mama is kind enough to allow me to post it here for all the world to 'make her famous' Thank you Momma Mac, We love you!

Number Of Ingredients 15

2 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
2 eggs
3/4 cup 2% low-fat milk
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped fine
1/2 cup onion, chopped fine
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons oregano
1 cup fresh breadcrumb (not dry)
16 ounces tomato sauce
2 deep dish pie shells

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F Mix all cheese mixture ingredients in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  • MEAT MIXTURE: Saute beef, peppers and onions in a large skillet over med-high heat. Drain and return to skillet. To this add salt, pepper, oregano, bread crumbs, and tomato sauce. Mix well.
  • Pour half beef mixture into each pie crust. Cover beef mixtures equally with the cheese mixture. Bake for 40-45 minutes till topping is golden brown.

1 lb lean ground beef
seasoning
1 can chunky vegetable soup
1 can refrigerated crescent dinner roll

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to temperature on can of crescent rolls.
  • Brown ground beef in skillet until all pink is gone.
  • Drain beef and add vegetable soup to skillet.
  • Heat until bubbling and hot.
  • Pour into casserole.
  • Cover meat mixture with crescent rolls to make a crust.
  • Bake for amount of time recommended for crescent rolls.

1 1/4 lbs hamburger meat
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce (with mushrooms - if you can find)
1 (8 ounce) can French style green beans, drained
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 can refrigerated crescent dinner roll
1 (8 ounce) package monterey jack cheese, grated
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/3 teaspoon cumin

Steps:

  • Brown meat with onion and green pepper.
  • Drain.
  • Add tomato sauce, beans, and seasonings and let simmer.
  • Press dinner rolls into a pie plate forming a pie crust.
  • Take 1 cup cheese and mix with egg.
  • Pour over bottom of the pie crust.
  • Drain excess juice from meat mixture.
  • Pour meat mixture into pie plate.
  • Spread with remaining cheese.
  • Sprinkle with paparika.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

5 potatoes
1 pound ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
1 (16 ounce) can green beans, drained
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
½ cup warm milk
1 egg, beaten
2 cloves garlic, chopped
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes; drain. Set aside to cool in a large bowl.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Stir green beans and tomato soup into the ground beef mixture; transfer to prepared casserole dish.
  • Mash the cooled potatoes with milk, egg, garlic, pepper, and salt; spoon in mounds over the ground beef mixture. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the potatoes.
  • Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted and edges of dish begin to brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
