Cucumbers are my very favorite garden vegetable, so I use this recipe often. I got it from a friend years ago. I've heard this refreshing dish keeps very well in the refrigerator, but it goes so fast around our house, I've never found out for myself. —Karen Ann Bland, Gove, Kansas

1 cup Miracle Whip
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
4 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
3 green onions, chopped

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine Miracle Whip, sugar, vinegar, dill and, if desired, salt; mix well. Add cucumbers and onions; toss. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.

1 cup mayonnaise or 1 cup salad dressing
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 medium cucumbers
3 green onions, chopped

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine salad dressing (mayo), sugar, vinegar, dill, and salt. Mix well.
  • Peel and slice cucumbers thin.
  • Chop green onions, stalks and all.
  • Add to bowl and toss.
  • Cover and chill at least one hour before serving.

1/2 tsp salt
4 medium cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
3 green onions, thinly sliced

  • 1. In a large bowl, Combine mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, dill and salt; mix well. Add cucumbers and onions. Toss. Cover and chill for 1 hour or more. Makes 8 servings.
