CHERRY MOUSSE

A delicious easy Cherry Mousse made with cherry jello, Cool Whip and cherry pie filling.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups boiling water
2 small packages Cherry Jello
4 cups ice cubes
3 cups thawed Cool Whip
1 cup cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • Using a large bowl, stir the boiling water into jello. Add the ice and stir until jello starts to thicken, if it's started to thicken and there's still ice in the bowl remove it.
  • Add the thawed cool whip,stir with a whisk until well incorporated. Refrigerate the mixture about 20 minutes or until slightly thicken. Stir in the cherry pie filling, spoon into serving bowls. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.

3 cups boiling water
1 pkg. (6 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 tub (16 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved.
  • Whisk in COOL WHIP until blended. (Gelatin mixture will be thin.)
  • Pour into 10 glasses or dessert dishes, 1-1/2-qt. bowl or 6-cup mold sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Refrigerate 8 hours or until firm. If using mold, unmold dessert onto serving plate just before serving.

Very simple recipe from a Jell-O brand recipe card. I like it with lime jello. NOTES: cooking time is actually refrigerator time for set-up.

3 cups boiling water
1 (6 ounce) box cherry Jell-O
1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip, whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in medium bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
  • add whipped topping to hot gelatin; stir with wire whisk until whipped topping is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
  • (mixture will still be thin).
  • pour mixture into 6 cup mold or glass bowl sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight until firm.
  • unmold onto serving plate just before serving.
  • store leftovers in refrigerator.
